We receive calls daily from folks asking that the difference is between our MKS 4000- Tow Behind Magnetic Sweeper and our MKS 5000 Tow Behind Magnetic Sweeper.  The primary difference is that the MKS 4000 Tow Behind Magnet is made to be used on smooth surfaces such as airfields, runways and large, smooth, open spaces.  The MKS 4000 Tow Behind Magnet uses “retainer” pans for easy debris accumulation and cleaning

The MKS 5000 Tow Behind Magnet is designed for use on all surfaces but particularly rough, uneven terrain.  It functions well in any environment including gravel, sand, rough, uneven pavement and dirt.  It’s highly popular for use in landfills, waste management facilities, demolition and construction sites and recycling facilities.  The MKS 5000 Tow Sweeper also has an auto release feature which is engaged by a gas, spring assisted release lever, located on either end of the unit.
