Shields Magnetics Signs Exclusive Agency Agreement with Saudi Arabian Representatives.

VENTURA, Calif., Nov. 17 -- Shields Magnetics, a division of California-based Shields Company Inc, the nations leading manufacturer of magnetic sweepers, lifting magnets, tow behind magnets and industrial magnetic equipment, has signed an exclusive agency agreement with D&R Aviation Consulting of Miami, FL and Mohammed Mirza Al-Khayat of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to represent the Shields Magnetics line of products.

Under the terms of the agreement, D&R Consulting and Mr. A-Khayat will have exclusive, protected distribution status for Saudi Arabia, U.A.E. (the seven emirate states bordering Oman and Saudi Arabia), the MENA regions (Middle East, North Africa) as well as Quatar, Kuwait and portions of Turkey.

“This region possesses one of the most developed economies in the world based upon socioeconomic indicators such as GDP per capita and energy consumption per capita. With a massive construction boom, an expanding manufacturing base and a thriving services sector, the UAE is fast diversifying it’s economy,”  according to Charlie Shields, President of Shields Company. 

Shields Company magnetic sweepers are currently in use with the Royal Saudi Air Force to remove damaging ferrous metal from the flightlines, tarmacs and runways.  It is the success of this program and Shields Magnetics’ understanding of worldwide exporting requirements which led to the agreement.

Shields Company designs and manufactures industrial magnetic safety equipment for a variety of industries and offers magnets for all types of ferrous metal retrieval.
