Shields Magnetics Awarded Navy Contract

VENTURA, Calif., Aug. 1 2010 -- Shields Magnetics, a division of California-based Shields Company Inc, the nation’s leading manufacturer of industrial magnetic safety equipment, has been awarded a second contract to provide the U.S. Navy with the MKS 4000 Series Tow-Behind Magnetic Sweepers.

Under the terms of the contract, Shields Company will assemble and provide an unspecified number of units for export to the far east. This is the second contract Shields has been awarded by the government in the past year.

According to Shields Company President Charles Shields, “We are very pleased to win the bid; it’s further testimonial to the effectiveness and capability of our product line. Complying with MIL Specs is a strenuous process and we have worked hard to forge this relationship and build a product unsurpassed in quality and design.”
